For I have returned.
First, happy holidays to everyone. I got almost nothing accomplished that I wanted to over my week off save for the repainting of my white steed, the 94 Lexus ES300. A bit of personal advice to anyone considering owning one of these: don’t buy one that has been T-boned and had the rocker-panle/door post replaced and repainted. They tend to rust waaay out.
What I thought was going to be a simple operation of sandblasting and doing body work on a small rust spot above my windshield(maybe 2 days tops) turned into a 5 day ordeal. My dad helped me enormously. In fact, I really only helped him. Without my father, I would be nowhere today. He truly is a remarkable man. Working from 10 to 14 hours a day as self employed mechanic is far from glamorous, but he somehow works through it all.
So basically, other than hanging with select friends during the hours I wasn’t passed out or working on my car, nothing got done. I did have a GREAT x-mas and New Years though. I spent it with my best friends, and of course, my Sara.
As for presents, I got many, many, great gifts. But the one I have to mention that has blown me away, by far, is Sirius Satellite Radio. This thing is amazing. My brother and girlfriend, in conjunction with my parents, all went together and got it for me along with a years subscription. Again, this thing is amazing. Totally commerical free, excellent audio quality, and most importantly, chock full of cuss words. I can’t wait to delve deeper into the varied programming that it features. If you don’t have one, I highly recommend you pick one up.
And other than that, I am spending the next few days cleaning and organizing my apartment. And of course, following my New Years resolution of getting in shape, and preparing for my June wedding. Life is great.
